Seed Pods is a repeat pattern created from my original pencil sketches while I was developing the ‘Seeds of Intention’ workshop
which begins with creating a playful energy before and during a process of coloring your own ‘intention’ to use as a
manifestation – meditation – mandala.

Flower of Life Sacred Geometry Astrology Designs
“Every astrology design in my Flower of Life Sacred Geometry collection has been created as a meditation on that particular sign. I set an intention to create images that would share the highest and most inspirational vibration of each sign’s planetary aspects, known characteristics and the essence of its element (earth, fire, air or water). The colors and patterns of each sign developed organically as I tuned into the energy that flowed through my muse. My eyes, hands and photoshop were merely tools expressing and translating the vibratory meanings that downloaded as the images you can see on this page. I also intended that these images could be used as visual meditation tools to amplify the positive aspects of an individual’s astrological alignments and in particular, to set specific, personal intentions that will activate the energy of the desired outcome every time he or she touches, or acknowledges, that intention through visual and emotional alignment with these powerful designs.” ~ Debra Cortese

Artist Statement

I’ve always had a deep connection with nature and am continually inspired by her beauty, which is found even in the tiniest creature, or in the way the light and shadows will dramatically change what you can see in a matter of seconds! I’m fortunate to now have a studio that overlooks the Big Eddy of the Delaware River in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Wildlife abounds and the view morphs on a constant basis with the changing of seasons, the wind and clouds and my state of appreciation.
I hope you enjoy my photos, art and designs as much as I enjoy creating them!

Had my cats help with the photo shoot for the first Flower of Life, Aries Design products. Bandaid kitty was especially eager to model or perhaps it was the catnip treats that I put in the Totebag!
Sammy and Squeeky cats were mostly distracted by the scent of catnip so, modelling was not on any part of their agenda.
I’ve been presenting my Seeds of Intention workshop a few times a year since 2012 and am still delighted when participants begin to share their favorite childhood memories. The pure joy of remembering your favorite childhood movie or game gently begins to release some of the limiting beliefs or fears that we accumulate as adults. By playfully re-membering the feelings of these beloved childhood activities or events, we let down our serious adult guard a bit and become receptive to opening that delightful doorway to our unencumbered childhood imagination. This feeling is carefree and playful and the coloring process encourages each of us to go with the flow. Color within or outside of the lines, preferably with no specific design in mind. Anything goes. Just choose a color that appeals to you at that instant, and another and another if that feels right. You are aligning with the pure energy of who you have always been and your Seed of Intention is an energetic representation of that level of perfection. You set an intention from the place of a joyful, carefree child and that is the energy that you are encoding into your personal Seed of Intention.
Your coloring masterpiece is then used as a meditation mandala for at least the next 30 days.
