~ Nature Portals ~
Nature Portals are mixed media (photography and graphic design) patterns
that were inspired by a Spoonflower challenge to create
a design featuring circles as the new triangles.
I created two ‘circle’ themed patterns that were inspired by the natural circles of sparkling raindrops which appeared to be suspended on an invisible web between a bark covered branch and the mossy rocks that I photographed along the Delaware River in Narrowsburg, NY.
The concentric circle pattern started as a single circle and evolved into the repeat portal pattern which you see below on samples of the print-on-demand products available in my Society 6 shop. I was delighted to see that as the portals evolved, they created a dimensional effect of looking through and beyond the imaginary window allowing a glimpse of the magic of nature’s energy!
