The Golden Violet Autumn paintings above were inspired by the colors along the Delaware River on the day I took this photo of ‘The Visiting Buck”. I was working on ideas for the annual DVAA December “Art in the Sixes” show and while I can not remember what I first had in mind, the Golden Violet Waves paintings turned out to be my favorites because they capture the prominent colors and the smooth flowing energy of that gorgeous fall day.
